When people get sick or hurt, they go to the doctor, explain their symptoms and receive the appropriate care. With pets, things aren’t always this straightforward. Because animals can’t speak, they can’t always let us know when something is bothering them.
What’s more, many animals are able to hide the signs of illness, allowing it to go undetected as it develops and worsens.
Veterinary diagnostics enable us to identify and address health problems in a timely manner. Faster diagnosis of illness and injury can dramatically improve the chances of a positive outcome.
Our on-site diagnostic laboratory makes it quick and efficient to run a wide variety of tests. In many cases, we can have the answers we need in just minutes. This means we can establish a treatment plan before you and your pet even leave the exam room.
When a physical exam and lab work aren’t enough to reach a definitive diagnosis, we turn to advanced imaging technology, such as x-rays and ultrasound. These tools allow us to examine the bones and internal organs, identifying injuries, diagnosing illness and determining its severity.
Images can be evaluated by our doctors in real-time or shared electronically with specialists if necessary.
If your pet has been acting a bit out of sorts lately, don’t take chances. Give Arrow Veterinary Clinic a call right away. We’ll get to the bottom of the problem and get your best friend back on the path to good health once again.
