Dr. Nicole Tremain

Veterinarian

If your pet has been to our office in the last few years, then you’re familiar with Dr. Nicole Tremain. She has been our Veterinarian for the last few years and purchased the clinic in October 2017. Dr. Tremain graduated from MSU with a Bachelor’s of Science in 2002 and then as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. She shares her home with 3 kiddos; Aiden (7), Alexandra (5) and Ashtyn (3) as well as her partner, Glenn. Together they have 2 dogs – Cody and Sparky as well as 4 cats – Bauer, TJ, Fur, and Charles. Dr. Tremain spends her free time watching (mostly MSU) sports, listening to music and spending time with family. In the summer, they spend a lot of time outside and at the beach. If there’s one thing she can’t go without, it’s coffee. It is her lifeblood. As such, we always have a pot of coffee available and invite you to stop in and have a cup with us!

*Dr. Tremain is a member of the MVMA and AVMA.

Sara Karasinski

Practice Manager

It’s not often that you’ll walk in and not be greeted by this face. She’s been with the practice for 6 years and takes pride in knowing both client and pet by name. Although she grew up in Ludington, she has called Lowell her home for the last 18 years. She is mom to two boys, Austin (15) and Garrett (11). They have two crazy dogs, Bumper and Zuri. Having grown up on the lakeshore, she and her family celebrate the start of summer by jumping in Lake Michigan on May 1st. Yes, it’s cold and yes, they are a little crazy! After that, she spends her weekends tent camping with her boys, cheering them on at their many sporting events  and dabbling in landscape & architectural photography. On the off chance that she isn’t busy, you’ll find her binge watching something on Netflix or reading & relaxing in her hammock.

Jennifer Briggs

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Jennifer (Jenn) joined our team in March 2018.  Having graduated from Sanford Brown in 2012, Jenn is a Licensed Veterinary Technician with an Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology.  She shares her busy life with her fiancé, Edgar, their son Zander, 4 cats and 3 hamsters.  Jenn enjoys traveling (specifically to Mexico City and Mackinac Island) as well as shopping and arts & crafts.  She has a passion for educating pet owners about preventative medicine and treatment to ensure a long, healthy life for their furry family members.

Sarah Robertson

Administrative Assistant

A previous employee for 2.5 years, Sarah has recently returned to her post at the front desk. She and her tiny human, Warren (4) share their home with a cat named Milo. If she’s not at work, school or busy doing homework, you’re likely to find her watching Game of Thrones or catching a much deserved nap. Sarah and her family enjoy vacationing in Tampa, Florida (who wouldn’t?). In 2016, Sarah graduated from GRCC with an Associate of Science and then moved on to GVSU where she graduated with a Bachelor’s in Cell and Molecular Biology in Spring 2018. We’re crazy proud of our little nerd and happy to have her back!

Beth Townes

Veterinary Assistant

Beth is our secret weapon. You may not see her often but she is here, assisting the Doctor and Technician and making sure the clinic stays organized and clean. At the end of the day, Beth goes home to her husband, Jas, and their two girls, Lili (9) and Nati (6). They have 3 dogs, 3 cats, 1 rabbit, 2 hermit crabs, a beta fish and 2 goldfish. That’s a lot of love! Beth enjoys camping (especially in the U.P.!) and crafting. Seriously, she’s so crafty. In the next few years, Beth hopes to take some college classes and brush up on her knowledge about Cherokee Tribes.

Katrina Smith

Veterinary Assistant/Administrative Assistant

Katrina joined our team in April 2018.  She graduated from Olivet College in 2014 with a Bachelors Degree in Biology with a Pre-Veterinary concentration and Minors in Foreign Language and Environmental Science.  Katrina is an integral part of our team as she works as an Administrative Assistant as well as a Veterinary Assistant.  She and her husband Carl have one dog, Furman, and they will be welcoming a baby boy in September 2018.  We can’t wait to meet him!  In between preparing for baby boy, Katrina spends her time reading, studying foreign languages, perfecting her photography and walking Furman.  Katrina is an avid soccer fan and loves horseback riding as well.  There’s no doubting her devotion to the veterinary field and her love for making a connection with animals and their owners.
